Head manikin can be used to evaluate thermal properties of headgear, industrial¹, bicycle² helmets etc. and compare the prototypes³. The basic information gained from manikin tests can be further used in developing and validating computer models^4,5. There is presently no standard to test headgear on a thermal head model. The number and position of the measuring zones is negotiable.
